Not the most interesting photo in the world...

... but taken with the dinky Pentax 40mm DA Limited.
You can read about it here - http://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/SMC-Pentax-DA-40mm-F2.8-Limited-Pancake-Lens.html
It's about the size of a threepenny-bit, but I think it shows what can be done with new technology, lens design and software correction. This was just a quick snapshot, without tripod, and without trying to get the plane of focus parallel, or producing a perfect architectural photo - however I think it stands up pretty well

Glad you like it, thanks!
Fortunately I don't have the job to celan those windows! :-)
Only tow photos from Menton? More to come, I presume.
I think the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 is quite different from the Pentax 40mm. The Panasonic, which is very highly regarded, seems more like a replacement for the old "fast, standard lens" beloved of old-fashioned photographers like myself. More of a sort of street shooting versatile lens. It's wider than the Pentax (40mm as opposed to 60mm in "old money). I don't use the Pentax as a carry-around general purpose lens, but it's quality is very good, and it fits in a pocket, so it's a no-brainer just to have it handy. It's quite a bit smaller than the Panasonic, although they are both tiny by todays autofocus standards. The Pentax might be better for head and shoulder portraits, given the longer focal length, but I'd say the Panasonic is definitely more versatile.
Needless to say, I've never used one, but as usual this doesn't stop me offering an opinion!
