interesting (and fun) to note that the crooked leg in the very centre adds huge value to the picture. Turns it from a snap to a great deal more.

Chucker - yes, actually I was also annoyed by the guy at the left who prevented an almost perfect parabola of heads. What I was most pleased about was the performance of the lens - pointed straight at the sun like this. Although on reflection it's maybe too straight into the sun to show up any flare problems

My screen was at an obtuse angle (geez, I dragged that up from the deep dark depths - obtuse, that is - high-school maths),
and the figures were completely in silhouette - I immediately loved it.
Then I came back later and my screen had moved and I could see the light and shade of the figures - I didn't like it like that.

Really, we fiddle around with our photos so much, but we have no control over how people have their screens.
(It seems I don't even have control over how I have my own screen!)

FF - you're right on both counts. The image is supposed to work as a silhouette - then you get the jigsaw puzzle effect with all the "negative spaces". However the disparity between different displays makes it difficult to know how to present it. Previously I was making things too dark for PC users, now I think they are too light.

"Previously I was making things too dark for PC users, now I think they are too light."

I think it is just right!

Not too light for me, the photo is just right.

You should'nt worry about the guy on the far left, I think his pose adds fun and life to the series - the other two on the far right are those I don't like, they are uninspiring, too small and meaningless.

Anyway I love this photo.

...so many good points here. FF and the screens ...yes. Too light...yes I've noticed and wondered about your changed lighting (thought they were your "less good" batch). Etc ec.
