What a good one!
The contrast between the two feminine postures is striking.
I'd rather be like the staue but I probably look more like the woman LOL

Richard sorry I haven't commented in a long time but I really wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the "times are hard" portrait (so powerful!) and the Edinburgh housing series, especially the far distant ones where you get the perspective of the flat plains under the huge skies. They are incredible!

Peter - wow, thanks!

Nathalie - don't apologise! You'll make me feel even more guilty for neglecting yours..

I don't like her.
Normally, I love outdoor sculpture (not all of it, obviously) and I have nothing against nudies -
she just looks like she shouldn't be there.
She looks like she should be inside.
I dunno, maybe it's too intimate for outside.
That's why the lady won't look at her - she feels like she is intruding.

Being a little bit worldly unwise myself, a lady friend once advised me that "one arm and hand up, playing with the hair, was a sign of interest. Both arms, and it was a sign of full frontal, defenseless invitation"
