Isebähnli

Among all the new and high tech buildings going up in Zurich Nord, there is an increasing demand to cater for people. Many take-away and temporary type establishments have sprung up, but Isebähnli is a bit different. It's been there a while, run by Elizabeth and Ow, shown here, and it's an old railway carriage. I particularly like the signs that say "Don't hang out the windows". Quality of the photo is not too great, but as they say....

In the small picture, the restaurant is the one on the left. There is also a little station garden, with seating outside

Comments
A engaging little photo that attracts and deserves attention more for its naivety than for its quality. The content and subject matter beg us to forgive failings of the aspiring amateur, and we surely cannot refuse.

We note the clock, and are immediately confronted with a mystery: is it 8.00 in the morning; 20 minutes before noon? We cannot be sure. Is this the real time? Is the photographer playing with us? Is he teasing or torturing us? He may be a poor photographer but he is a cheeky, nay, brazen little illusionist!

Not all of us out there visit your blog for your photo composition or your prowess in all things technically "proper".
Some of us (well, at least me) who subscribe to the "point and shoot" technique;
we come for your ability to capture charm and to show us your city in a unique and interesting way.
I love this photo.

@freefalling - I know.... I'm being mischievous. Anyway there's nothing wrong with pointing and shooting!
