Hot, thirsty weather

zurich drinking fountains

Not really hot weather, but getting back to summer temperatures. The Zurich fountains come into their own again

Well, I've finished moving my website, and upgrading the software. Not really finished - still need to work on the colours and layout. Biggest problem this week was moving domain names, especially the third level domains, so I back-tracked a bit on that. The best change for me is that I can make entries and post date them. They will then apppear on the date required, and emails will be sent out to subscribers at that time. I think I might change my worklflow now and create posts once or twice a week, batching the work and hopefully avoiding the gaps which plague this "daily" blog. I could theoretically do the entire month, or year

Another interesting option is the ability to add slideshows. This is useful if you have a daily image which is difficult to select from a series done at, for example, an event. Many people use overflow sites for this, but I'm going to use the slide show option. More about this when I have an exammple

Wow, so there's lots going on here!
I hope the change works well, I look forward to the slide shows in due course, it's a great idea.

I have decided to go weekly with my new Avignon Photos, too busy to do more.

Got the feeling I'm not getting the e-mail notificatiob like I used to. Leave it for now, but take note.

Comments lines overflow into the void..margins prob?

Got my machine back but find I have totally lost Southall......so, more happy visits are needed.

I recognize the fountain from near the Opernhaus and your previous post. Nice to see it in use. Ever see any kids trying to climb into it?

I've been away from blog visiting so am trying to catch up now. You've been busy! The slide option is a good one, and I guess it would be a nice feature to use, if I weren't really stodgy about some things.
