Zürich Hauptbahnhof

I seem to be taking more and more shots in the railway station these days. It's probably just laziness - this is where I fetch up on the short trip into the town centre

The man in the suit seems totally out of place, from another era.

The man in the suit has his personal cigarette stubber outer....that's really from another era. Cute, and sharp observation! Not perfect, but then you did not have any control. (I'm assuming they are not part of your gang of "contracted lone lurkers").

Gee Chuckeroon is hard on you! (i'm sure you can take it.)
At least he doesn't just write "beautiful photo" - that can be a bit boring.
That old fella reminds me a bit of a squashed up, old John Wayne(?!)
What does "fetch up" mean? Fetch up what?
And what a strange place for that can?

Wow, you make a city come alive even in black and white! What beautiful photos that reflect the spirit of Zurich!

I'll be visiting Luzern (Lucern) this November and I'm so looking forward to it.

Have you visited The Strange Republic yet?

@cergie - I'm glad you liked the symmetry. This was important to me - I thought the two smokers looked like combatants with their "seconds". They also struck me as characters from another time - certainly the guy with the spats and the cigarette holder

What a spectacular photo! Like Cergie I love its symmetry and style.

I am completely in awe, the whole scene seems so composed - straight out of a movie set! The two men smoking their cigars would be the two heroes, still unrelated at the beginning of the movie. They ignore each other. Later on, both will fall in love withthe same girl (played by Ava Gardner?) and the scenario will develop from there...

the two smokers look like two actors as Nathalies supposed. That one at left is a very well know killer and the man with spats his boss
