Coffee at Globus

Globus is an upmarket department store with two main branches in Zurich - Bahnhofstrasse and Bellevue. They have foodhalls that are for me the ultimate temptations, and civilized cafes which merge nicely with the shopping

Leica M8, 35mm Summicron, cropped and monochromed

This is an image that might be nice to look at in a larger size (800k). The depth of field is shallow - it was shot hand-held at f2.0 - but the details show up nicely-

What a relaxed mood in this photo. It must be the way you captured the light.

Some light and early Oct sun are ideal for cafe shots. I've just done a cheeky pigeon surveying the possible takings. Perhaps he'll turn up soon.

Oh - I got all confused. For some reason, I thought there was a mirror behind the two women in the foreground!
And the other group of women were a reflection in it - but that doesn't make any sense at all!
I was trying to remember why "Globus" sounded familiar - it is an upmarket world tour company here.
Is it that too, in Europe?

Viewed the large one: great ! Being at f2.0 I thought that depth of field it was more shallow. --- Uhmm is it an "only for women" café? :-)
